چکیده

The aim of the study was to compare and evaluate effect diode laser as an adjunct scaling root planing alone on clinical parameters Gingival Crevicular Fluid (GCF) interlukin-10 level in chronic periodontitis. Ten periodontitis patients were selected. As it a split mouth study, two sites with deepest pocket one each quadrant randomly assigned for (SRP) SRP+ treatment. Plaque index, gingival probing depth, attachment measured at baseline 3months after GCF levels interleukin-10 (IL-10) analyzed by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay. Test group showed significantly better outcome compared control all (PI, GI, PD CAL). total amount IL-10 increased treatment both test groups. From three months, SRP Diode demonstrated substantial rise levels, demonstrating how lasers can improve nonsurgical periodontal results. Thus, when used SRP, which is anti-inflammatory cytokine, indicated reduced inflammation tissues.

The Effects of Diode Laser as an Adjunct to Scaling and Root Planing on Treatment of Chronic Periodontitis: A Review of the literature

Background and aim: The most common form of periodontitis is chronic periodontitis, which is a destructive inflammatory disease of periodontal tissues and is usually associated with pocket formation, changes in density and height of alveolar bone, and sometimes gingival recession. Some patients are resistant to periodontitis treatment due to a weak immune system, smoking, and sometimes due to u...

OBJECTIVE The aim of this study was to evaluate clinical efficacy of InGaAsP diode laser as adjunct to traditional scaling and root planing. BACKGROUND DATA The use of laser is one of the most recent methods in nonsurgical periodontal treatment. Efficacy and side effects of each type of laser treatment have yet to be determined. METHODS Thirty patients suffering from moderate periodontal di...
